WHAT WE GROW
We have dabbled a bit in local farmers' markets and hope to continue. Kathi has set up a serve yourself roadside stand at the end of the driveway and in the fall when the apples are ready we open for "u pick". This year we acquired a cider press and hope to have some fresh cider for folks when they come to pick apples! To check out our accommodations, click here.
In the late spring and summer we grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, including beets, carrots, lettuce, eggplant, tomatoes, green beans, squash, cucumbers and more. Zinnias, Cosmos and Sunflowers are in abundance in the late summer months. Once fall is upon us an apple orchard that includes such varieties as Liberty, Freedom, Spartan, Macintosh, Empire and Cortland is ready for picking. There are beautiful perennial gardens planted around the house. In the spring organic asparagus and strawberries are available from the farm next door. We keep our fruits and veggies clean, no pesticides or herbicides.
